These series of digital prints on cardboard and wood are inspired by 16th and 17th-century Cabinets of Curiosities—encyclopedic collections that reflect the owners interests, achievements, and pride.
I draw a parallel between these historical collections and contemporary video game inventories, both of which showcase a collector’s identity through their items. The use of cardboard in these prints contrasts the pristine digital worlds and the fragile physical reality, which highlight the transient nature of digital collections in role-playing games.
